DISCOVER
Amélie Fortin is a classically trained pianist, composer, teacher, and photographer based in Montreal. To everything she explores, she brings a wide open and creative spirit. The sheer variety of her projects testifies to her eclecticism and curiosity, and it is little wonder that she’s made a name for herself as an exceptional collaborator.
As a multi-award-winning musician and virtuoso of incomparable versatility, Fortin lends her fingers to a range of forms and styles: classical, contemporary, and popular. Not only is she an inspiring and dynamic educator, Amélie Fortin is also a composer; having collaborated as such with several artists. Most recently, she has devoted herself to the creation of her own first solo piano album, scheduled for release in spring 2024.
Alongside her life in music, she pours her love for visual arts and design into another passion: photography. Through her lens, Fortin captures, with grace and sensitivity, the subtlety of a look or the hidden beauty of a landscape.
In both her musical and photographic works - on stage or from the shadows - Amélie Fortin reaches for states of contemplation, suspension, and wonder; moments where time can fall away, and magic can happen.
